Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist welcome guests to visit our
Center and share in our life of worship and community. Each guest
is invited to experience the mission of the community to restore
and build a sense of the sacred found deep within humanity and
in creation.
Located on 230 acres of wooded farm land,
the Franciscan Life Process Center offers retreatants opportunities
to reflect on natural cycles of growth. Walking trails, an orchard,
large vegetable garden, and vineyard present peaceful settings
of natural beauty. Guests may also experience a given cycle through
a guided project on the land.
RETREAT OPTIONS
Private Retreats
A private retreat is for guests seeking time for silence and prayer.
Guests may join the Sisters to pray the Liturgy of the Hours and/or
for Tuesday
and/or Thursday evening meals.
Directed Retreats
In the setting of the natural beauty of the land, retreatants meet daily
with a Franciscan Guide who facilitates the process of listening to
God. Scripture is the primary resource used for reflection and meditation.
Alternate Retreats
A Franciscan Guide assists to develop a retreat program with the group
leader or host groups who already have a retreat plan and need an environment
which provides privacy and a prayerful setting.
Spiritual
Direction
Persons desiring to weave into their lives a pattern of seeking spiritual
direction, such as biweekly or monthly, can make an appointment to come
for an individual session(s).
OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATIONS
From individual rooms to yurts to a guest
house, the Center offers several residential options including
handicap accessibility. Some of the facilities are fully equipped
with appliances and utensils. Retreatants present on Tuesday
and/or Thursday evenings may choose to join the Sisters for evening
prayer and supper.
Individual Rooms
The Franciscan Life Process Center main facility has eight individual
rooms (twin or double bed). Some rooms have an attached private bathroom,
others access a common bathroom available on the same floor.
Yurts
Santa Chiara and San Francesco are environmentally friendly buildings
located on a wooded ridge where wildlife is plentiful.
San Pietro Guest House
Accommodating nine, San Pietro has two fully-equipped kitchens and centralized
meeting space.
MEETING FACILITIES
There are spacious gathering areas in the main building of the Center
as well as more intimate settings for smaller groups or as break-out
rooms. This versatility meets the needs of various sized gatherings.
Architecturally designed to maximize the natural beauty of the land
in every season, spacious windows and multiple exits to decks and porches
characterize the meeting, dining, sleeping accommodations and chapel.
Outdoor options include patios, gardens, an arbor and gazebo. The chapel
may be the most beautiful serene space at the Center where sunlight
streaming through the trees enhances an aura of quiet peacefulness.
