Dear Friend of the Franciscan Life Process Center:
As trees and foliage near the Franciscan Life Process Center (FLPC) burst into brilliant fall color, we are reminded that the time has come to harvest gifts of support for our programs and services. The success of our Annual Appeal is especially important this year as we begin “Our Quest for Effective Program Restructuring.”
Our FLPC Advisory Board—comprised of area residents and community leaders—asks that three programs which are highly valued by local communities be strengthened, enhanced, and extended to more individuals in need of care, education, and counseling. These programs are:
Music Therapy—700 individuals now receive music therapy treatment. Our vision is to become West Michigan’s premier partner for music therapy education, internship training, and service. By working with academic and nonprofit partners, we can extend music therapy to more students and clients in need. But to do so, we must hire additional music therapists to ease the demands upon Sister Mary Margaret Delaski, F.S.E., so that she can find time to establish and nurture a strong base of partnerships.
Preschool—Our program for three- to five-year-old children is transitioning from the self-directed learning approach to a more teacher-directed developmental environment. This environment will focus on the building blocks of learning and school readiness, while continuing to integrate art, music, and nature. Your gift will nurture and develop the skills of young children by helping us to purchase new developmentally appropriate learning tools and equipment.
Franciscan Experiences—Building relationships and fostering human development is what Franciscan Experiences is all about. By working directly with local parishes and their members to personalize our offerings, we will provide more retreat, seminar and workshop opportunities to help individuals grow emotionally, spiritually, and interpersonally. Your gift will help produce tools and resources necessary to conduct these personalized learning sessions. We come to you for financial assistance because of all whom we serve.
We thank you on behalf of all who will benefit through your generosity. May God bless you and give you happiness throughout this wonderful season.
Sincerely,
Sister Colleen Ann Nagle, F.S.E.
Director
