is LIFE Fest 2010 Speaker
Author and university professor Elizabeth M. Kelly has been named guest speaker for LIFEfest 2010’s Evening of Inspiration, part of the Franciscan Life Process Center’s annual fund raiser weekend on October 9-10. LIFE fest weekend includes Saturday night’s Evening of Inspiration dinner and talk and Sunday afternoon’s, A Country Sampler, family picnic and games.
Ms. Kelly received a Master’s Degree in creative writing from the University of Alaska and a Master’s Degree in Catholic Studies at the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota. She is managing editor for UST’s academic journal, Logos: A Journal of Catholic Thought and Culture, and also teaches both graduate and undergraduate courses in the Catholic Studies program.
Her first book, The Seeker’s Guide to the Rosary, was published in 2001. The Rosary, A Path into Prayer was published in 2004, followed by May Crowning, Mass and Merton: 50 Reasons I Love Being Catholic.

In 2008, she released her most recent book, Heaven in You and You in Heaven, Unveiling Eternity on Earth. May Crowning, Mass, and Merton and 50 Reasons I Love Being Catholic, won first place in the "popular presentation of the faith" category from the Catholic Press Association in 2007. She has also released two jazz CD’s.
Monies raised from the annual Franciscan Center benefit directly support the Center’s program funds. Look for more information in the summer issue of the Troubadour.
